Lee Negin is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, synthesist, videographer, producer and recording engineer. He was a pioneer in the international Indie/techno/new wave movement of the 1980s, and his recordings receive airplay and distribution around the world, and are available at iTunes, amazon, Rhapsody, bandcamp, cdbabay, etc.
He is listed as an influential artist in "The International Discography of the New Wave." He has several critically acclaimed videos on YouTube. His music is an eclectic blend of psychedelia-ambient-techno-dreamscape-world-tribal-trance-funk-alternative-metal-electronica-social satire- with Buddhist, Taoist, Shamanic Undercurrents.
Leaving the USA 23 years ago (San Francisco), he has lived in India, UK, Japan (15 years), Warsaw, Poland and for the past 6 years in South Korea. He has traveled in over 40 countries. Currently a university professor.
Three CDs of new material were released in 2011: "Hungry Ghosts" in February, "Wu Wei" in September and "Reflections of Waking Dreams" in December. "Hungry Ghosts" was selected by Dandelion Radio (UK) as one of the top 50 albums of 2011 (#32). Several EPs, singles and new videos were also released. One of his songs, the techno classic "Nothing Goes Right" from the 1980's appears on a compilation released on a German label, Genetic Music, in March 2010. His track "Without Reason" appeared on a compilation from Daidalos Records (Chile) in September, 2011. His You Tube videos have received international recognition.
2012 will see the release of several new videos, singles, and albums. 19 May saw the release of his new album, "Technodelic Transmissions," an 11 track collection of techno-psychedelic delicacies. 2012 will also see Negin's return to live concerts, with possible dates in select European and Asian cities.
