Space Gathering is a gathering of many different kinds of people sharing a common vision of spiritual growth and good vibrations. It is uniting artists from many different medium in order to create together a very unique vibe full of awareness and fun! As we grow together, we make sure to take this time once a year to harmonize with the spirits of nature, and the crystal frequencies of the sounds. Through music, circus, painting, sculpture, dancing, food, jewelery and costume making, workshops and conferences, we want to express the most true and tribal nature of an awakened human community. Everyone is solicited to not only assist to this event, but to become part of it, to make it a life changing experience as we connect on a deeper level to all that is living, and this enables us to get a glimpse of what lies beyond that.
HistorySpace Gathering was born out of the mind and resources of dj Bendala, who was inspired to create this party after his meeting with dj Psy Baba. Feeling drawn to this idea, a tribe of friends who decided to call themselves the Mofarlo family came together to make it happen. The first edition of this festival happened in june 2005, in a magical forest in the surroundings of Chertsey, Quebec, about one hour and a half north of the city on Montreal. The gathering lasted one night, and was very casual and intimate, while still being highly magical. Strong from the success of this event, the Mofarlo family decided to make it happen the next summer, in 2006, in a place that was able to hold more attending without the risk of damaging a natural landscape. The location was close to a small town called Melbourne, and had a history of being used for circus gatherings. The 2006 edition lasted 3 days, had a main stage as well as a chill one, and it featured the presence of the widely known Australian producer Gus Till, as well as a strong presence of ethnic music with Sitarismo and Bolo Kan which brought a wider audience to the gathering. 2007 was a very determinative year for Space Gathering as it changed location again to the place that is now known as their permanent location, at the falls of Ste-Agathe-de-Lotbinière. Featuring performance from a variety of local acts, as well as the world-renowned producer Tikal, Space Gathering was growing as a very strong local festival, reaching even more participation, as well as diversity in their program, as they insisted on having even more presence for live reggae bands and crystal bowl concerts, among other oddities. The Mofarlo family feeling a bit scattered, the organization team came together under a new name inspired by the Native rainbow prophecies: Tribal Prophecy. 2008 continued in the same direction, marked by many experimentations on how to make the best use possible of the beautiful terrain. The dancefloor moved to the beach, while the chillroom went in the forest, and based on an idea from the 2006 edition, a third stage was added: the temple, featuring many different workshops and conferences on a variety of interesting subjects. The 2009 edition was the fifth one, featuring the internationally acclaimed legend Space Tribe. For this edition, Tribal Prophecy joined forces with Lune Noire & Trance Plants to create a smooth and vibing festival that continues to feel more and more professional each year. Space Gathering 2010Space Gathering 2010 will happen from July 9th to July 12th at the Ste-Agathe-de-Lotbinière waterfalls camping, in Quebec. The festival will feature a night of all-female performers to honor the new moon energies that will be present through the whole weekend. Playa Del BabaThe beach of the babas is like the heartbeat of this festival. Here people gather under the sun and moon to dance on goa transe, progressive, electro and ethnic transe music. It also features an audio and visual display that will effectively direct the collective energies towards the cosmic union of trance dancing. Line-upSouthwild Rastaliens, Lutin Des Bois, dj Bendala, dj Anima, dj Longstocking Tribal ForestThe tribal forest is the space where most accoustic performances take place. With an emphasis on sounds from all around the world, the programmation is cautiously elaborated with the best world beat and ambient djs that can be found all around Quebec. Line-upComing Soon! Space TempleIt is by walking on the enchanted boardwalks through the forest that the Space Temple is reached. There is found sheesha, cushions, carpets, yoga, as well as conferences and workshops on many interesting subjects. A tea kiosk will be installed to make the party goers travel through many exotic tastes. Line-upComing soon! PsyneramaThroughout the weekend, the psynerama will be presenting an array of quality movies and documentaries. Little Elves VillageA specific space will be created so that kids can also enjoy the festival. A colorful decoration, as well as many activities and surprises are planned all weekend long... party goers should not hesitate to bring their kids; it's free for them, and they will probably appreciate this weekend as much as everyone else!
