The United Arab Emirates (UAE) (Arabic: دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة, Dawlat al-Imārāt al-‘Arabīyah al-Muttaḥidah) is a federation of seven emirates situated in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula in Southwest Asia on the Persian Gulf, bordering Oman and Saudi Arabia. The UAE consists of seven states, termed emirates, which are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah. The capital and second largest city of the United Arab Emirates is Abu Dhabi. It is also the country's center of political, industrial and cultural activities. The political system of the United Arab Emirates, based on the 1971 Constitution, comprises several intricately connected governing bodies. Islam is the official religion and Arabic is the official language. The United Arab Emirates has the world's sixth largest oil reserves and possesses one of the most developed economies in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates is a founding member of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and a member state of the Arab League. It is also a member of the United Nations, Organisation of the Islamic Conference, the OPEC, and the World Trade Organization. 
[2010] Strong and building up in UAEDue to the commercial culture of the United Arab Emirates and taking into consideration religious laws governing the country, the government are very strict on Drugs and related substances. The psychedelic scene itself is not very big in the country but is growing at a rapid rate. There are two main Psytrance events organizers and they do their best to promote the scene in Dubai. This however is limited to indoor venues. Event named Ravelations have landed international acts / DJ's to Dubai in the past and continue to do so. Another event named Psynthesis also have landed international acts and cater to both Indoor and outdoor events / parties. The outdoor parties are usually away from the city (Dibba, Umm Al Quain, Hatta Desert and other remote areas). The scene is strong and is building up with many converting to psytrance. DJ Swaroop G aka. Sanathana has been featured as the only psytrance producer in DJ Mag Middle East and a local magazine, Infusion. The news about psytrance is spreading and Dubai will have a solid psy scene by end of Year 2010.

Record LabelsOne of the major from the UAE is Samana Records (http://www.sgdesigns.co.uk) They have already released their first compilation, UNITY Compiled by Dj Swaroop G - Available in all major online distribution stores. Another emerging label added to the UAE is MadMuzik Records (http://www.madmuzik.net), established between France and UAE in 2011 the label is dedicated to the evolution of psychedelic music and its culture. MadMuzik will be releasing their first compilation called 'Elau Akkual - The Color Of night' on the 1st of July 2012; which will be made available through the labels own eShop and from your local authorized music dealers.

Samana Records still is the only label to make it major in the region. Parties- PSYENCE FICTION - PSY:FI and the Ravelations crew have a lot of events / parties lined up for 2011. Artists (acts, decorators, VJs & DJs)The same as last year but with more releases and actually putting UAE on the map of psytrance. LabelsSamana Records still remains the only label to come out of Dubai to make it major in the industry. They have more releases lined up towards the mid / end of 2011. [2013] UAE Psychedelic Music SceneThe Psy music scene is really firing up now in the UAE. Mainly focused in Dubai, two labels have been organizing events with international psy artists an almost weekly basis. Ravelations Dubai have bought in the likes of AVALON (NANO RECORDS, U.K) Jan 2013, MENOG (Spectral Records, Portugal) Jan 2013, Gust Sievert (Universal Dance Records, Brazil)Jan 2013, KHOPAT (3D Vision Recordings, Hypergate Records, Portugal)Feb 2013, ITAL (Antu Records, Chile) March 2013. Majority of Ravelations' events recently have been held in the brilliant Chi Nightclub While Hypnotique Dubai has bought in the likes of Electrypnose (2 to 6 Records)Jan 2013, Giuseppe (Parvati Records Denmark) March 2013. Hypnotique holds its events across various happening venues across Dubai. With the amazing work being done by both these Psy-trance party organizers from development local psy-artists to providing Goa style art at their events (Hypnotique manages to always have amazing art)and of course the influx of big international names in the industry Dubai no longer remains a psy-trance barren land. With events happening almost every other week and talks of big names such as Raja Ram, Eskimo etc coming soon fans and psy-travelers can be sure to find somewhere to dance the night away on the weekends.
